Reason for Outage : Cable break on upstream provider network.

Backhaul cables providing service to the West Rand region have been severely damaged by nearby construction contractors. Multiple teams are currently implementing repairs along the damaged section of the backhaul. Several link joints will need to be respliced which is a time-consuming portion of the work. We currently cannot guarantee reconnection tonight, however, more teams are en route to assist. Work will continue through the night.

We hope to have service restored by the morning, and any major developments will be communicated sooner.
